Respect to all the pesilat here

I was just wondering if any of you have come across Babak Waleed in your researching american silat. His site was the first one i came across when i was research silat at first, and he seems to be a nice man, with respect for elders in Indonesia, and teaches an authentic style.

He has many websites, but this is an e-mail i received today regarding his latest trip to indonesia (please know in advance that there are ALOT of pictures in it, so if you have slower internet, then maybe just look at the normal website).

Hati-hati (careful) my friend.  I have never met Bapak Walled, but some things I have heard -from knowledgeable Guru Silat-make me question his real goal in promoting Pencak Silat.  He does put forth very good effort with all the nice pictures and things on his website.  If you wish to know more please pm me.

Hello Abdullah!

I recall hearing a few good things about him, but that was a while ago.  I have never heard anything bad about him.  Also, I do know that he teaches in the Ann Arbor, MI area, which is about an hour from Detroit.

One thing that struck me was ....'mahal amat?!' .....'wow, expemsive?!' ... But  I need more knowledge about it to comment further. It is very exensive. If there good reason, hey, why not, a silat teacher is entitled to good pay. But silat is a long term commitment ... a life path .... so money is not particularly relevant. Still it is very expensive and that goes against Adat.

Assalamu Alaikum  to all !! My good friends and silat practioners, I am new to this forum, and happy to see so many people involved with Pencak Silat from all over the world. I usually do not get involved with other people's business. I will say to all , be very careful around this man Bapak Waleed . His name is trouble. He has done much damage to people's lives and organizations of Pencak Silat. If you have personal questions about him , you can ask me off of the forum anytime. Maaf, sorry if I have offended anyone..

I am sure most of you know his teacher Grandmaster Edward Lebe.
He has been a continual support for me and the AOPSA in the US.

                   This is the first time being on a forum. I only use jawara1 for a post. Possibly I used jawara to post Pencak Silat Activites in Indonesia , but I cant remember.   Terima Kasih
