Latest update. From the new Seni Beladiri magazine (October issue), it is confirmed that 5 silat styles/schools will be featured in the Human Weapon Silat episode.

They are;

1) Silat Gayong Malaysia
2) Silat Harimau Johor
3) Silat Ikatan Kalam
4) Ilmu Tempur Lian Padukan
5) Silat Lok 9

An update on the Silat episode. It will be aired on 23rd November at 10.00pm and 24th November at 2.00am on the History Channel.

Here's a testimony by one of the hosts, Bill Duff, on his experience with Silat in Malaysia;

I have to say that Silat was the most surprising show for me! I was really unaware of how interesting and far reaching Silat actually is until we arrived in Malaysia and immersed ourselves in the training. A lot of my misconceptions of Muslim's where dispelled and I soon realized how honest and hard working they are. They accepted us with open arms and I felt very welcome by the Silat community. Please enjoy this week because I think it is a real cultural exchange that you will all enjoy.

As of yesterday, I know of 2 new students at our school in Hazel Park that directly attributed their interest in Silat to the Human Weapon series. 

We've also had 3 other phone calls that I'm aware of.
