Salam Everyone,
I have decided that America needs a driect link to Indonesia so I have made SahabatSilat an official forum of the Association of Pencak Silat America. I am hoping this will open the eyes of the American pesilat. I strongly support everything you guys do on this forum - keep up the good work. I have also made a short video of my trip to Indonesia. It is basically a showcase of some of the Pencak Silat styles I witnessed. I also have some new photos up as well. Please let me know what everyone thinks.

Your idea of a direct link to Indonesia is timely and necessary. My students and I are in full support of your efforts and I am looking forward to exchanging more ideas with you when you come back from NY (hope all goes well with Kang Yana).

that keeps me going and it is your support that will help this association grow.
I also have to thank all the affiliated teachers in the US and even the
teachers who are not yet affiliated but have given me support and have expressed interest in the idea of a national Silat family in the US. Again, I hope you enjoy the website. There is much more to come. I will post a video soon of my family in Panglipur from my trip last year to Bandung/Garut.

All Silat Clubs or any styles of Martial Arts in the USA can partake in the 13TH WORLD SILAT CHAMPIONSHIP, 2007.
I hope that each school / club of Pencak Silat, American federation Silat, American Federation Martial Arts representing the USA as soon as possible to prepare and make peace in the HE 13TH WORLD SILAT CHAMPIONSHIP, 2007.
I want Jeff Davidson in Michigan, Nicholas Florida and all Silat gurus, Silat masters, maha Silat guru, sensei karate/hapkido/arnis/kung fu clubs to help with this message. Guru Yana wants the American Federation Martial Arts to go to the world Silat championship, 2007.

official PERSILAT World Championships can only be entered by National Teams !!
This kind of event is impossible for schools to participate on this level, every participant must be member of a school that is recognized by a National Federation
If there is one in the USA, what schools are member of this National Organisation ?
It's even for me not clear who is the official representative for the National Federation in the USA
Is there any, I'm just asking because I saw a lot of people clameing to be

After meeting the President PERSILAT in Jogya 2005 I have to start to promote PERSILAT in the USA and also I have to select the right students for the world silat championship.
If you would like to know my position in PERSILAT you can ask Bapak Eddy Marzuki Nalapraya. He knows what I did in the USA,
under my instructions students of PD USA won the gold medal in the PD world championship. And we also won a lot of national championships in the USA.
Official PERSILAT World Championships can only be entered by National Teams.
All requirements of PERSILAT are ready on my desk I am trying to work hard to help and support PERSILAT as the body PENCAK SILAT ORGANIZATION. If I am lucky to get a sponsor we will go, if NO we still will try to publish PERSILAT to society of USA.

In the USA they don’t have a National Federation
If there is one in the USA, what schools are members of this National Organization?
PD USA is already a member of PERSILAT.
Even for me it is not clear who is the official representative for the National Federation in the USA.
Is there is one, I'm just asking because I saw a lot of people claiming it to be.
The President Bapak Eddy Marzuki Nalapraya.
He has point any styles in the United States (example PD, MP,KPS, Mande Muda and other, all are representing PERSILAT USA).

you realy need something like a Natioanal Organisation to become a full member of PERSILAT, I guess you still be junior member ?
If I can be off any help, please let me know, I also know a view things about regulations in PERSILAT

From my site PERSILAT in New York City-USA, I have right for the world Silat championship to select right students in USA if they are respect, loyal, dedication and commitment. I always ready to serve my students.
I have so much plan for warriors of USA, I have no problem with any styles (Karate, Kung Fu, Ju Jit Su, JKD, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, and other styles with their rule to go to fight for national Championship in the USA or world Silat championship in any country, again I always ready to serve to help all warriors in the USA.
Again If I am lucky to get a sponsor we will go, if NO we still will try to publish PERSILAT to society of USA. I do believe from Hawai and other state of the USA will representing of PERSILAT.

I have made a lot of phone calls since last we spoke, and I have some interesting ideas regarding corporate sponsorship. We need to get organized. Some of us Americans on this board should should get together in cyberspace or by phone and discuss some type of agenda.
We'll see if we can set that up in the coming weeks.

Last week I went for dinner with Nicholas, and this week I will explains to him foundation of PD and other... I hope video will coming soon on TUBE in his site.
Let's put together any one in the USA will agree to go with the right path of Pencak Silat or Silat. And find a solution regarding corporate sponsorship.
The world Silat championship view weeks from now, I hope we have right warriors representing of the USA

As a journalist you write and speak very well Mas Bram I fraud of you, people learn from you, and also I love Ki Sawung, Mas Krisno, Jeff, Nicholas, also other Silat player how to explains Pencak Silat. Pencak Silat is about teaching to educate people with the right path. We educate American and other country, we have sponsor of PERSILAT. We don't need fight for nothing let go fight to the world silaturahmi championship in Malaysia.
Very important when we teaching kids not as a layer guru Silat, they have to tell the true to kids. Today I got phone called from Chatty Mande Muda in Hawai regarding the world Silat championship in Malaysia.
